Darkroom Session 12.22.2024

New Prints

The darkroom is part wonder, part scientific discovery, part madness. I begin optimistic, completely enamored by the newness of my discoveries and leave pulling my flesh from laying on the ground of my studio, wreaking of chemicals, weeping, and full of voices wondering how I found myself on this path! I like to think every artist goes through this process.

Last night was no different, but it’s possible that I printed 2 new images that I consider a part of my ‘portfolio’, the grand cru of In Rooms, as the wineries would say. It’s difficult for me to consider images a part of this select upper echelon of my work! It seems as I continue onward, they get a little stranger, a little messier, sometimes a little sexier, dare I say. The energy of my work is changing faster than I can make sense of, but as a person and artist committed to growth and expansion, I’ve surrendered to this process and hope you as the audience can find your own unique path within this decade of different dimensions.. enjoy these latest tricks and discoveries!

Due to the increased cost of all analogue materials, and the limited time I have to make the prints, I am now only printing editions of 5 (instead of 10). I will still offer the first edition half off to collectors and subscribers and then every print edition will see a price increase. Claim them first here! Be aware of their power!
